England Wado-Kai Karate-Do Renmei is committed to encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion within our karate dojos, and eliminating unlawful discrimination.
The aim is for our federation to be truly representative of all sections of society and for our students to feel respected, valued, and empowered to participate in karate, and to give their best within their individual abilities.
England Wado-kai Karate-Do Renmei, in providing goods and/or services and/or facilities, is also committed to preventing unlawful discrimination against customers or the public.
Our equality, diversity & inclusion policy’s purpose
The purpose of this policy is to:
- Provide equality, fairness, and respect for all our representatives and students.
- Prevent unlawful discrimination on the grounds of the Equality Act 2010 protected characteristics of:

- • Disability
- • Gender reassignment
- • Marriage and civil partnership
- • Race (including colour, nationality, and ethnic or national origin)
- • Religion or belief
- • Sex
- • Sexual orientation
- • Pregnancy & Maternity
England Wado-Kai Karate-Do Renmei commits to:
- Encourage equality, diversity and inclusion in the Dojo to ensure that karate training is accessible and welcoming to all individuals, regardless of their background, ability, or other personal characteristics.
- Create an environment free of bullying, harassment, victimisation and unlawful discrimination, promoting dignity and respect for all, and where individual differences and the contributions of all are recognised and valued.
- Take complaints of bullying, harassment, victimisation and unlawful discrimination by fellow representatives, students, parents, the public and any others in the course of the Federation’s activities seriously.
